To get to Vidanta Riviera Maya Resort you can take a taxi cab from the Cancun International Airport. An airport cab costs about $50 US dollars to Vidanta. An option is to previously reserve a shuttle.
Is there an airport shuttle to Vidanta?
Vidanta Riviera Maya Resort offers airport shuttle via a transport service at a fee. With prior reservation you can reserve a transport shuttle to the resort at a lower cost than taxi service. Reservations can be made via Vidanta customer service.
How long does it take to arrive at the Vidanta Riviera Resort from airport?
By car it is about 45 minutes from the Cancun International Airport. It normally takes about 45 minutes, longer if there is traffic.
Close to Vidanta Riviera Maya there are a number of attractions. En route, along the main road, you will pass hotels, restaurants, gasoline stations. There are various restaurants, shopping centers, aqua parks and other attractions.
Cirque de Soleil is right along the main road, just cross over!

Property and Amenities
When it comes to resorts and hotels, we know you want to know about the facilities and amenities of the property.
The Vidanta Riviera Maya property is extensive and beautiful. We found it to be very clean and well maintained. It is an excellent property that upholds class and comfort.

Riviera Maya Landscape
The landscape and vegetation are breathtaking.

The hotel properties and buildings are spread out in this semitropical area, yet easily accessible. The property has various buildings that are specific to the visitors’ needs. Each hotel building has several floors.
There is a welcoming Lobby Central and each hotel property has a hotel lobby.
You can stay a week or two. Vidanta offers everything you need. You do not need to venture out.
There are various restaurants, cafes, bakeries and bars. There is golf course restaurant, right off the main trail, excellent for having traditional Mexican and continental breakfasts.
Guests can walk along the paths to restaurants and cafes for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We felt very secure walking along the wooden paths from one building to another, from one event to another. We saw many people walking to dinner and from dinner to their hotels after dinner or a night of dancing.
Vidanta Riviera Maya resort has three pool areas. Excellent pools.

Guests have prime access to the coveted sands of the Riviera Maya as are the beaches. Choose your style, pools loaded with activities, or serene, intimate pools surrounded by beautiful landscapes.


You can work out at the gym and also relax at Brio Spa.
For a round of golf, there is a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.
Intimate venues are also available for private lunches and dinners, located close to the pool areas and other areas.
Concierge service is easily accessible. Vidanta staff provides excellent service.
The property is stroller-friendly and wheelchair-accessible. We saw families with young children easily moving from one place to another.

Lobby Central
At the main lobby of Vidanta, Lobby Central, there is plenty of parking for visitors. There is availability for valet parking. A front desk has staff that is ready to welcome you, with drop off for taxi cabs and shuttles.
When we arrived via the transport shuttle, we were warmly greeted by staff at the front desk and assisted into the lobby.

Staff dedicated to the front desk is efficient and pleasant. They are very helpful.
Food and Dining
We understand you care about the food and dining options during your stay.
Vidanta has a variety of food and dining options, with convenience and quality for a hotel stay.
There were several restaurants onsite. Each restaurant had its own specific theme.
There are Asian, Mexican, Italian cuisine options providing a good meal and hospitable waitstaff. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, and kosher options are on their menus. For special diet restrictions, the restaurants can accommodate. The quality of the food is exceptional. The cost is comparable to quality restaurants in the United States. There were unique and local food items.
The main restaurant had live entertainment.
At the end of the day, a family can regroup for dinner at one of the restaurants.
Complimentary dessert after our dinner was delicious!

Couples can enjoy a three-course dinner while watching the Cirque du Soleil show, JOYÀ.

We enjoyed the hotel breakfasts. Sunday brunch buffet was excellent.
The golf course restaurant was also open for breakfast.
There were coffee shops and bakeries. The bakeries had a variety of breads, Mexican sweet bread and European bread.
Meals and drinks can be charged to your room, without having to carry around money or your credit cards.
The menus were offered in QR code at the restaurant tables. Prices are included.
We were not sure what time the bars close, as we did not go to any bars.
Vidanta offers food deliveries room service. Service is top notch.

Entertainment and Activities at Vidanta Riviera Maya
There are many entertainment options.
There is an activity center close to the main pool. There are dance classes at the pool, family pool parties, and pool parties in the evening, hosted by Vidanta DJs and staff.

Cirque du Soleil JOYÀ takes place in the breathtaking Vidanta Theater. It is a multisensory, dazzling experience of music, acrobatics and theatrics, inspired by Mexico’s rich history and culture.
Cirque du Soleil JOYÀ at Vidanta draws audiences from all over the world to their show in Mexico.
The Grand Mayan resort hotel also hosts the fun-filled Jungala Aqua Experience.

During our stay, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. They smelled clean. Housekeeping is easily accessible in the morning and afternoons.

Mayan Palace
At the Mayan Palace hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable, and we felt at home.

We stayed at the Mayan Palace hotel in Vidanta Riviera Maya.
We spend some time in our room just reading and watching television. You could easily spend a few hours in the room without realizing how time had passed.
The beds in the bedroom are well-sized and comfortable.
In the main room, in addition to two sofas, there was a large table, a television, and lamps. In the dining area there was a table with four chairs.
Amenities included a television, fridge, microwave, kitchenware, kettle, hair dryer, and ice machine.
Dishwashing service was available for a fee.
Air conditioning was easy to regulate.
There was WiFi. The room had a balcony that overlooked many trees and the wooden path.
Grand Mayan
The Grand Mayan at Vidanta Riviera Maya offers a guest room that boast LCD television, jacuzzi tub, and a private balcony. Friends of ours that stayed in a Grand Mayan suite had access to a personal plunge pool. There are also accommodations that can sleep up to eight people.
Grand Bliss
Grand Bliss has rooms with oceanside views and beachside amenities.

Eco-Efforts at Vidanta Riviera Maya
We made a connect with various aspects of tropical and jungle nature. The birds chirp and sing before nightfall. Colorful migratory and local birds were easily observed.
The various mammals were interesting to watch. We observed coatis, jequeques, and squirrels.
We saw families stop to take photos of some of these. Some children would run off, surprised by close encounters while others were delighted.
Extraordinary! Iguanas crossed our path on several occasions.

At the animal sanctuaries there was signage.

Unfortunately, we did observe a young boy throwing pebbles at the crocodiles in the cocodrile sanctuary while the mother watched him and did not say a word.
There were conservation areas on the resort. However, we did find them to be small.

Value and Ratings
After this experience we plan to stay at Vidanta Riviera Maya again. Quite worth our stay!
Furthermore, a good friend has decided to purchase membership after a two-week stay at Vidanta. Her family enjoyed it so much she has decided to buy a membership.
We recommend Vidanta as the people we that stayed there felt that their money was well spent or not.
Considering the facilities, service, location, and overall comfort, it is money well spent.
